Inspired By: Mike Iaconelli, Those who achieve what others say is unachievable
About Me: Neil Dootson was born and bred on the shores of south Watuppa Pond in Fall River,Ma. he spent his childhood being indoctrinated in the ways of the water and the lifestyle of a fisherman by his grandfather,Westy,Who was never to busy to take his grandson fishing. Over the years,Neils love for bass fishing intensified,But was sidelined as a teen and swept away by the drug ridden underworld of "Troy City"amidst years of turmoil and tragedy, and a life divided between street corners, boarded up houses and jail cells in the late 90's.Neil remembers watching up-and-comer Mike Iaconelli's story air on espn.Inspired,Neil swore that one day he would escape the chaos; That one day he too would chase his dreams until he caught them,That one day,he would be a professional bass fisherman. After years of struggling.always clinging to the last shred of faith,in early 2008 Neil Dootson began to turn his life around.Four years later,he is able to give back to his community, working as a substance abuse counselor in the same city where he grew up.Working with hopeless and the homeless, inspiring and assisting them in turning their lives around,Neil leads by example in his career encouraging others to follow their dreams, which helps fund his own dream.. of one day making the Bass Master Classic. They don't call him "Sinista" for nothing!

Randy Phillips "2010 Bassmaster Classic Qualifier"

Dob: 1972-12-12

Occupation: Manager/Atlas Box & Crating company
The Road to the classic: I've always had a passion for fishing. I started out in a club,Worcester Bass Masters. I still remain an active member. Since then i have done many tournaments,Locally,Statewide and regionally. I have fished both FLW & B.A.S.S tournaments over the years with winning results. Lures like Boag Hog Baits have been instrumental in my success with fishing. So once the new law was initiated i Was glad to endorse this product and continue to use them almost exclusively.Considering they are equal to the great baits that helped me get to the Classic in 2010. My trip to the classic started on the Connecticut river in Hartford,Known as the state fish-offs. I went to this event as a non boater. I had great partners each day that shared their water with me.Allowing me to weigh good bags. Several of the fish were also caught using shallow cranks by AR lures and Swimming jigs. From there i traveled to the regionals held on Lake Simcoe in southern Ontario Canada. What a great place!!!if anyone wants to catch big smallies this is the place to go. I had a mixed bag of large mouth and small mouth at this event. The water was clear and allowed for the fish to be caught multiple ways. That win Consisted of a brand new Triton and got me into the Nationals which were held on the Harris chain of Lakes in central Florida. This tournament really put my skills to the test. I spent about 5 weeks practicing for this event. I had friends driving my boat to and from Florida so i could maximize my fishing time.I developed a pattern 2 days prior to the event which ultimately led me to the classic but also enabled me to win the Federation Nation Championship along with my 2nd boat (prize). The 2 techniques were flipping a jig in the main lake and a floating jerk-bait in the backs of canals. With the support of my family & work i headed to Lay Lake just south of Birmingham Alabama for the 2010 Bassmaster Classic. This is the Superbowl of bass fishing! Even though i place 38th it will be an event i will never forget. i fished next to the best in the business. My goal is to make it back and use Boag Hog Baits & AR lures to get the ultimate prize of winning the Bassmaster Classic!

Homelake: Lake Linville
Occupation: Fireman
John Crane: John Dee Crane. I have been a fireman since 2000 to present. I started fishing bluegill tournaments when I was 8 years old. I also got into bass fishing around the same time and have fished ever since. When I was 14 years old, I fished my first bass tournament and placed 3rd. From that time on, I was hooked on fishing tournaments. I still get the same feeling I did back then every time I fish a tournament and have become wiser along the way. I believe God has given me the ability and knowledge to catch fish when it counts. I have become accustomed to the business side of tournament fishing as far as dealing with the organizations and sponsors as well. In the spring of 2007, I started fishing the Renegade Marine Bass Tournaments, Division 6 (Lake Linville) as well as Division 10 (Lake Cumberland). I also started fishing U.S.A. Bassin Tournaments at Lake Cumberland and Cedar Creek Lake. Over the years, I started placing higher and higher in points, winning tournaments, and received recognition in 2011 as Angler of the Year at Lake Linville. I hope to fish FLW as a co-angler within the next two years and move up to a boater after that. My current/locally-based sponsors are as listed: Luxury Pet Service D.T. Towing Service Taylor's Construction Cain Pole Tackle Shop Sal's Window Tinting Good Impressions Screenprinting & Custom Design My current Prostaffs: Prostaff at Catching Concepts Crankbaits Prostaff at BassGrubb Hand Poured Baits Prostaff at PowerTeam Lures Prostaff at Knockout Jigs Prostaff at Morgan's Custom Baits
